In a bold move to bridge the blockchain skills gap and nurture indigenous talent, Pengage Finance has announced the launch of its Blockchain Fellowship Program, an intensive, hands-on initiative aimed at equipping young professionals, developers, and policymakers with practical knowledge and tools to lead Nigeria’s transition into a digital economy.
The program, set to kick off in Q3 2025, will run in partnership with global blockchain organizations and local institutions, offering participants direct mentorship, project-based learning, and networking opportunities with industry leaders.
Speaking on the launch, Simeon Ogunnubi, CEO of Pengage Finance, said, “This fellowship is about nation-building. Nigeria has the human capital. What we need is the right exposure and ecosystem to transform that potential into scalable innovation. Pengage is proud to lead that charge.”
The fellowship will cover critical modules including:
- Blockchain fundamentals & smart contracts
- Decentralized finance (DeFi) and tokenomics
- Policy and regulatory frameworks
- Blockchain for public sector and enterprise
- Project incubation and demo day pitching
The program is open to university graduates, civil servants, developers, and startup founders with a passion for emerging technology and community-driven innovation.
By fostering a local pool of blockchain talent, Pengage hopes to support the implementation of the Nigerian National Blockchain Policy and empower homegrown solutions that address challenges in identity, finance, governance, and beyond.
Applications for the inaugural cohort will open in June 2025.
